Prevention of femicide
Femicide is not an isolated phenomenon—it is a societal problem that is far too often overlooked. The aim of this page is to raise awareness, identify early warning signs, and promote prevention.
I myself am a survivor of violence – together with my daughter, I have experienced the pain and fear associated with femicide. This experience has had a profound impact on me and made me aware of the importance of recognizing warning signs early on and supporting other women before it is too late.
Through education, dialogue, and concrete support, we can work together to save women’s lives and raise awareness of the reality of gender-based violence.

When home becomes dangerous: The federal government wants to better protect victims
Partial loss Victim Protection Act Women’s shelters are overburdened, and services are unevenly distributed across cantons.
The revised law aims to close these gaps.
Some cantons have no women’s shelters at all, others share one, and still others have several.
Zurich as a pioneer canton
The canton of Zurich is considered a “role model” when it comes to victim protection and victim assistance, said Zurich’s Director of Justice Jacqueline Fehr at the media conference on the total revision of the Victim Protection Act. As an example, she cited the long-term secure financing of support services and the successful institutionalization of the “Women’s Shelter Fund.”
For the canton of Zurich, the discussions on the revision of the law were about “establishing victim protection that suits every woman and child in need.”
But other cantons are struggling. According to the law, the reality begins with the limited space available in women’s shelters. Victim support services often have to organize accommodation outside the canton—within Switzerland, in other cantons—or even abroad if no safe place is available.
More and more women—with or without children—are seeking protection from violence in Switzerland.

and the need is great.
Every woman who cannot find a place is one too many.

that protect and heal
Every day, we support women who have experienced violence and can no longer find a safe place to stay. Many of them do not dare to go to existing women’s shelters – for fear of consequences, control, or stigmatization.
They do not need a “change of home,” but rather a protected space
where they can finally find peace and sleep without fear.
However, our current resources are no longer sufficient.
We are in daily contact with those affected, but there is a lack of space, of places of quiet, safety, and healing.
That is why we are looking for investors and partners in the real estate sector who will work with us to create healing places—apartments, retreats, houses where emotional stability can grow again.
Every property can become a space for healing and dignity.
